The authorities have thus detailed that six people have died in Bucalan, two in Zambales, one in Quezon province and a tenth in Rizal, although the causes of death are diverse and range from drowning to traffic accidents and landslides.

At least eight people are still missing in Quezon and Camarines Norte provinces, and the NDRRMC has warned that the death toll could continue to rise, according to the newspaper 'The Philippine Star'.

In its latest report, the entity has indicated that almost 30,000 families have been affected by the storm, although 8,825 are still in evacuation centers.

The typhoon hit the Philippines on Sunday with sustained winds of 195 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 240 kilometers per hour. However, it weakened upon landfall. Although it has already moved away from the Philippine coast, it is expected to bring heavy rains over the next few days.
