Busi first shot to international fame in 2020 when she played the rebellious Tumi Sello in Netflix’s festive comedy, How To Ruin Christmas.

Spread across three episodes, the tongue-in-cheek mini series followed the exploits of bridesmaid Tumi as she tried to make amends for having accidentally ruined her sister’s Christmas wedding.

The clever writing and enchanting cast made sure it was a firm hit with fans, and the series was even renewed for a second season released in 2021 entitled. How To Ruin Christmas: The Funeral.

Once again, the show drew widespread praise from audiences during its four episode run and was renewed by the streaming giant last month to return for a third series, How to Ruin Christmas: The Baby Shower, prior to her death.

Outside of her Netflix credits, Busi also appeared in a number of series over the years, including South African legal drama Sokhulu & Partners, Wild at Heart, and even a guest appearance in US medical drama ER.
