Jodie Marsh announces mum’s death after cancer battle in heartbreaking tribute

The former glamour model, 41, took to her Instagram account on Wednesday night to post an emotional tribute, calling her the “strongest woman” she’s ever known.

Posting an array of snaps of her beautiful mother, often rocking matching outfits with her daughter, she wrote: “My beautiful, kind, caring, generous, intelligent, funny, classy and incredible mum passed away this morning.

“There will never be another woman like my mum. She was the strongest woman I’ve ever known. She was my best friend and I don’t know how to do life without her…”

Fans jumped to pay the star their condolences, with one writing: “As soon as I saw this pic I knew I didn't want to scroll up and read what you were going to say, i devastated for you, my thoughts are with you at this awful time.”

While another added: “I’m so sorry to hear this news. Life is so so difficult at time. Look after your dad and Billy will look after you. X”

In May, Jodie revealed her mum was “thrown out of hospital” because of coronavirus. At the time she has revealed her mother was suffering with “the most aggressive cancer her consultant has ever seen” but was asked to leave hospital and return in eight weeks time.

She replied to a tweet written by cancer charity Balls to Cancer, which read: We cannot say it enough. THE NHS IS OPEN please do not sit at home with any cancer symptoms, get to speak to your doctor or visit A & E.

“The figures in cancer diagnosis are drastically down. Please remember lives are saved by early detection! Please RT”. [sic]

She wrote: “Not quite true. My mum was basically turfed out of hospital and told “come back in 8 weeks” even though she has the most aggressive growing cancer her consultant had ever seen.

“Thrown out of hospital because of Covid. No treatment. She’s dying at home. No word from hospital”.
